Son of Howie

The New Howie
The new Howie looks nearly identical to the old model. So what’s different?
Changes:
- Less Weight: The new Howie with our Deep Coat finish weighs 4.8lbs / 2.18 kg.
- Less Chainstays: 14.56” / 370mm
- Less Cost: $625 USD including bottom bracket.
- Less Hassle: Tonic Mid 90 bottom bracket.
The Mid 90 is simply a BMX mid bottom bracket scaled-up for use with a mountain bike chain line. Frames will ship with this BB installed.
The Mid 90 has some real advantages:
- Ease of setting up the bike with 3 piece cranks for a mountain bike chain line. The only spacer is the non-drive side bearing cap. The sprocket adaptor sits right against the drive side bearing.
- Uses the same common and durable bearings as a regular Mid BB.
- 90 is a very high number, so you know it’s good.
The Howie can be purchased directly through Tonic or one of our distributors. Expect the Howie to ship at the end of July.
A deposit is a good idea if you are serious about getting on one of these frames.

Video review
Riding films. I enjoy nothing more than just chilling out at the end of the day with a group of buddies watching a solid riding video But lately though most bike videos seem to really be a dime a dozen. I haven't really come across something in a while that really peaked my interest, until i got Vincent Allard's new film in the mail "Everywhere". The name is incredibly fitting because the video literally takes place EVERYWHERE Vincent shot and compiled footage of riders from around the world, in places like Canada, England and Russia to name a few. Everywhere, to my knowledge is one of the first really well done mountain bike videos concentrating exclusively on street dirt and park. Not since the Monkey Style videos, has something really come along that shows all the different ways that people love to shred there big bikes. Hands down, everywhere is one of the better MTB films that i have seen in a long time. Well shot, well edited, and full of seriously great riding from a really diverse group of riders all accompanied by a dope soundtrack. This is one of those films you will continuously watch over and over without tiring of it. You're stupid if you don't get your hands on this DVD asap. Sam Hill crash from Vallnord world cup.
